Date Posted: Friday, September 27, 2024
The Commonwealth of Virginia has received an ‘A’ grade on The Digital States Survey, a comprehensive biennial technology survey encompassing a wide-ranging analysis of each state’s overall innovation and technology maturity. Virginia’s superlative ranking demonstrated high ratings in digital innovation, operations, governance and administration.
Cross-agency technology partners across the COV collaborated with one another to highlight the many innovations occurring in our state for the survey submission. In addition to the survey, Virginia also received an Outstanding Achievement Award for exemplary work in continuous innovation and the exploration, testing and appropriate application of emerging technologies to improve government services.
Since letter grades began in 2010, Virginia has never earned less than a ‘B+’ but raised its score since the last survey in 2022. The Center for Digital Government has administered the survey and program for the past 27 years.
