The Virginia Information Technologies Agency Launches New Customer-Centric Website

Experience optimized navigation, enhanced accessibility and data-driven content at vita.virginia.gov.
(Richmond, VA) -

The Virginia IT Agency (VITA) announced today that its new customer-focused website has launched with optimized navigation, enhanced accessibility features and data-driven presentation of content to help customers find what they need easier and faster. The website homepage features a simplified, modular design, an enlarged, single menu and prominently-placed search bars. The responsive design easily translates across all platforms, whether customers are using a computer or a mobile device.

“Websites are at the forefront of an organization’s information delivery and customer service in the digital age, and even more so in remote working environments,” said Chief Information Officer of the Commonwealth of Virginia, Nelson Moe. “We’re dedicated to serving our Virginia workforce customers with a modernized, responsive new website framework.”

“This new website represents significant progress of our digital transformation strategy,” said Chief Operating Officer, Jon Ozovek. “From ordering technology services through our virtual service portal to simply changing a password, we look forward to enhanced and streamlined customer experiences.”

During a nearly yearlong research project, VITA’s in-house web and communications teams built the redesigned site through in-depth customer reviews, surveys and focus groups, as well as data analytics and search terms. The team will continue to monitor web traffic and user feedback to guide any additional adjustments.

The new website is available at vita.virginia.gov.
