The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a supplier to provide a security operation center (SOC) for local government entities.

VITA has published a request for proposals (RFP) on eVA, Virginia’s e-procurement portal. Please find all information on the requirements and scope of this RFP by visiting the eVA website and searching for “security operations center for local government entities.”  Interested vendors should submit proposals before the RFP closes on January 31.

RFP details

The chosen supplier will be expected to create a 24/7 SOC model for local government entities that integrates visibility, technology, intelligence, alerting, automation and workflows to enhance the speed of acknowledgment, triage, analysis and response to emerging alerts.

This solution will be used by local government entities across the Commonwealth. It will not be used by executive branch agencies.

The preproposal conference will be hosted on Jan. 7 at 3 p.m. EST. Potential suppliers can learn more about the RFP and its details at this optional conference. To attend the preproposal conference, email Renee Tabb by 4 p.m. on Jan. 6.

As a reminder, the RFP will follow procurement standards and confidentiality is a must. Should you receive any inquiries related to the RFP, please direct them to the RFP's single point of contact, Renee Tabb.
