VITA’s rolling out the red carpet

Project Management Summit

Step onto the red carpet and join public-sector project managers from across the Commonwealth for a day of learning, networking and inspiration. The 2026 VITA Project Management Summit takes place in early December.

This year's theme, project management in the movies, explores how iconic films reflect the challenges project managers face every day, from leading teams and managing risks to meeting deadlines and solving complex problems. Through a project management lens, attendees will discover fresh perspectives on communication, adaptability, leadership and creative problem-solving.

Lights, camera, action!

The day begins with opening remarks from Mike Watson, Commonwealth Chief Information Officer, followed by morning sessions for all attendees. After a boxed lunch, participants can choose film-focused breakout sessions to attend, each offering practical project management lessons inspired by memorable moments from the big screen.
