Commonwealth of Virginia (COV) employees show up in many ways to support the state and its residents, and VITA staff are no exception. One way VITA teammates went above and beyond recently was in donations to the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign (CVC), Virginia's annual charity drive.

Each year, VITA's internal CVC team coordinates campaign events, fundraisers and volunteer opportunities that support various charities across Virginia. In 2025, VITA staff raised awareness and resources for the following CVC-approved nonprofits:

  • Feed More
  • k9 Alert Search and Rescue
  • Peter Paul Development Center
  • Alzheimer's Association of Greater Richmond
  • ALS Association
  • Susan G. Komen Foundation
  • Breast Cancer Research Foundation
  • Christmas Mother
  • Toys for Tots

VITA staff donated time, talent and funds to local causes during the fourth quarter of 2025. Through books and plant sales, a silent auction, breast cancer awareness events, food and toy drives, and more, the agency rallied together to participate in a number of events that impacted the local community.

The efforts were a tremendous success, with VITA staff raising nearly $11,000 for the CVC in 2025.

The funds raised will directly support local nonprofits, strengthen community programs and uplift neighbors. It's just one more example of VITA making a difference in Virginia.
