Fiber cut affects two Commonwealth of Virginia applications

(Richmond, VA) - On Friday, June 7, two of the Virginia Information Technologies Agency’s (VITA) applications became inaccessible. Technical teams immediately investigated the reports and determined the root cause as a fiber cut. Crews have identified the location of the cut and repairs are currently underway. VITA is working with its partners to remediate the outage as soon as possible. More updates will be shared as work progresses.
