VITA launches new customer-centric website

As part of a nearly yearlong research project, the team compiled insights with web analytics to simplify content and improve the site’s user experience. The VITA website was last redesigned three years ago. Based on feedback and web user data, the team focused on several key areas: 

  • Intuitive user experience: Simplified menu options offer a single mega-menu and prominent placement of search bars to help users find what they need easier and faster.  
  • Updated, data-driven presentation of content: Homepage content will update in real time based on what users are seeking on the VITA site. Content on other pages continues to be updated with the latest information. 
  • Updated focus on web accessibility: Federal Section 508 requirements will be met and exceeded to achieve 100% compliance via Google Lighthouse, an open source tool for auditing website quality and performance. 
  • Clean, modernized interface: Streamlined look and feel and updated VITA branding will invite easier-to-find material and ensure easier access across mobile platforms.
