Virginia Identity Verification Solution request for proposals (RFP) has been released

Date Posted: Tuesday, July 2, 2024

We have posted a request for proposals for the Virginia Identity Verification Solution

VITA is taking additional steps to modernize the Commonwealth’s identity verification services with the release of a request for proposals (RFP).

VITA is seeking a modern, user-friendly identity verification solution to integrate with a single-sign-on (SSO) and/or agencies’ identity management solution(s) to be used by Virginians to access to Commonwealth of Virginia (COV) applications and services.

Please note that the deadline for submissions has been extended. Interested vendors should submit their proposals before the RFP closes on Aug. 2 at 4 p.m.

Scope of the RFP:

The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals to provide an identity verification solution to the Commonwealth, public bodies and private institutions of higher education. The supplier will be required to comply with VITA’s identity and access management (IAM) standards, and be cost effective, transparent and elastic to meet the current and future needs of VITA and customer agencies.

This RFP will be used in collaboration with the Virginian Identity Project (VIP), a project to provide a COV identity management service.

You can learn more about the Virginia Identity Verification Solution RFP in the preproposal conference video.

Accessing the RFP:

As a reminder, the RFP will follow procurement standards and confidentiality is a must. Should you receive inquiries about the RFP, please direct them to the RFP's single point of contact, Renee Tabb.
