In the past 12 years Mike Watson has been serving as Virginia’s chief information security officer (CISO), technology and cybersecurity have changed dramatically in the commonwealth. The once obscure field of protecting computer networks from hackers has become a mainstream concern and has captured a larger number of policymakers within all levels of government.
Though cyberattacks are getting more advanced, there are still a number of basic precautionary measures which are still highly effective in stopping them. Listen in as he discusses security and risk mangement.
