Government Technology (GovTech) released an article giving an overview of the results of the Digital States Survey. GovTech noted that states with a solid A grade this year are Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Utah and Virginia. Common trends among the A students were a strong focus on cybersecurity, shared services, cloud computing, IT staffing, budgeting and use of data. Virginia CIO Nelson Moe stated that the successful and diverse set of technology projects the state (Virginia) has developed during the last two years are the result of hard work across the organization, from cross-agency and cross-secretarial collaboration to a tech-friendly work culture at the most foundational levels of state government.
