Workplace Productivity Solutions (WPS) adds office productivity to Microsoft Office, Microsoft.Net framework, Active Directory, Exchange and Web Services through the access to two services:
VITA hosts reports developed by the agency through a secure connection to either to an agency-managed database or a VITA-managed database. The VITA team also manages Logi Analytics applications and the servers. The customer agency is responsible for all administration, Logi Analytics licensing, development and support of agency customizations, configurations and integrations.
Both component services include access to a test and production tenant in our shared environment using the Commonwealth's technology infrastructure that includes supported hardware, network, and application layer software.
Additional Tools/Services in the Offering
VITA provides access to online tools in the environment that include:
Team Foundation Server
Scribe Software for data integration
Operations and maintenance support to the software, monitoring, backup and recovery services, software upgrades, handling user account and handling VCCC tickets including resolving and closing
VCCC incident management
VITA does not provide:
Application development to agency applications
All administration, Microsoft licensing, development and support of agency customizations, configurations and integrations
WPS is available to commonwealth executive branch agencies receiving standard COV messaging services through VITA's IT infrastructure program can order this service. Each customer must have a primary and secondary point of contact. These contacts will act as the WPS communication point for support and service requests.
Costs are tied to an MOU billed monthly.

CRM provides out-of-the-box tools that will help your staff manage contacts, communications, cases, scheduling, services and related reporting. VITA will host agency CRM applications in the shared environment for a monthly fee.
Business Intelligence includes access to the data tools of Logi Analytics (Logi Adhoc and Info products) to create custom dashboards, data visualization and reports utilizing either a agency-managed or VITA-managed database.
The CRM service includes:

The Commonwealth's installation of Microsoft Office, Active Directory, Exchange and Web Services at VITA's secure, world-class data center

The CRM service does not include:
Microsoft CRM licenses
VITA will not provide application development or application support for operations and maintenance to agencies

Any customer receiving standard COV messaging services through VITA's IT infrastructure program can order this service. WPS has seamless integration into the COV Active Directory, Exchange and Office platforms. The delivery of these capabilities is realized via the Microsoft CRM platform. WPS is not available for agencies or customers who are not affiliated with the Commonwealth of Virginia.
If an agency requires training to develop reports, VITA can provide the contact information for CRM training from the supplier.
Customers may contact the WPS Service Lead or they may contact their VITA customer account manager (CAM).
Once the MOU is in place, new requests for customers who do not have data to be migrated can generally be completed within 5 – 7 business days. Customers needing data migration will take longer.
The supplier will provide the agency a form to approve the T&M hours at the blended rate of $114. CAI will bill the hours VITA and VITA will bill the customer agency for the hours.
