Description:

Active participation multiple Information Sharing groups across the USA including the Multi-State Information Sharing Group (MS_ISAC), Local, State (VA Fusion Center and Commonwealth Preparedness Working Group), and Federal Law Enforcement (FBI), and multiple COV Information/Infrastructure Security groups. Share information on current and emerging trends in information security. Exchange information recovered during the assessment and remediation of malicious activities. Participate in the development of Best Practices documents as well as general Policy and Procedure documents.

Scope

  • Share information security information with other States
  • Share information security information with law enforcement
  • Share information security information with COV infrastructure security groups
  • Process key-log data provided by MS-ISAC and provide the details to the affected COV Agencies
  • Participate in the development of Best Practices documents as well as general Policy and Procedure documents.
  • Maintain data statistics concerning potential malicious activity within the Commonwealth.
  • Provide information to COV Agencies and Localities affected by malicious activity reported through the Information Sharing connections.
  • Customers can expect that CSRM will act as subject matter experts within the cyber security field and provide relevant and useful feedback.

How to Order

Customers should contact CommonwealthSecurity@vita.virginia.gov to communicate an interest in the service offering by providing contact information for their Information Security Officer (ISO), backup ISO, or other interested party employed by the agency. VITA's Commonwealth Security and Risk Management (CSRM) will add their contact information to CSRM's distribution list.

Service implementation and delivery times can vary per customer. For new customers, a new request can generally be completed within 1 - 2 business days.
