Information Security Tips

Securing the Commonwealth's data and ensuring ongoing availability of services for citizens is of ultimate importance to all Commonwealth governmental entities. As the information technology infrastructure provider for the Executive Branch Agencies, VITA is responsible for ensuring data security.

Emergency Preparedness was designated a top Management Objective for 2004-2005 by Governor Warner. The Governor set the following objective:

Achieve 100% preparation and testing of agency Continuity of Operations Plans and receive state-level emergency management accreditation through the national certification process.

VITA has chosen to address an aspect of these challenges by providing EBARS as an alternative for your consideration.
