Governor announces 40 new jobs from VITA, SAIC contract

Today, Gov. Ralph Northam announced the creation of approximately 40 new information technology (IT) service desk jobs from VITA's contract with Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). The jobs will be created in Clintwood, Dickenson County, by this fall.

“In addition to delivering services critical to the daily operation of state government, these jobs will be key to helping the Commonwealth modernize its technology infrastructure and support the changing IT needs of our citizens, businesses and visitors," said. Gov. Northam.

On hand at today's announcement were Secretary of Administration Keyanna Conner, Chief Information Officer of the Commonwealth Nelson Moe and representatives from SAIC and Dickenson County. SAIC is VITA's multisourcing service integrator (MSI).
